About Me
Barbara was a long-time member of the Slovak national team, competing internationally in three different artistic sports. She was a finalist and medalist in prestigious events such as the 1993 World University Games in Buffalo, the 1995 World Cup in Paris, the 1996 World Championships in Bratislava, the 1997 World Championships in Perth, and the 1997 World Games in Lahti. Barbara was also part of the prep team for the 1988 Seoul Olympics and showcased her wide range of skills at the 1995 and 1999 World Gymnaestradas in Berlin and Gothenburg.
While excelling at elite-level sporting activities, Barbara earned a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sport and a Doctorate in Kinanthropology—Sport Biomechanics from Comenius University in Slovakia. During her teaching and research internship, she also coached national-level gymnasts in Iceland. After relocating to Canada, she obtained her NCCP Level 3 in Artistic Gymnastics, as well as certifications in Personal Training and Stott Pilates. Barbara further contributed to Gymnastics Canada in BC by facilitating NCCP coaching courses.
Barbara earned her Registered Massage Therapy Diploma from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy and continually leverages her extensive expertise to help athletes and non-athletes achieve peak performance. Her proficiency spans a wide range of massage therapies, including Myofascial, GTO and Trigger Point Release, Joint Play and Mobilization, Muscle Approximation and Positional Release, Muscle Energy, Musculotendinous Attachment Release, Neuromuscular, Swedish, and Sport Massage.
